(The Shadow in the Window)
Ana vivía en un piso pequeño en el centro de Madrid.
Ana lived in a small flat in the centre of Madrid.
Cada noche, antes de dormir, miraba por la ventana.
Every night, before sleeping, she looked out of the window.
El piso de enfrente estaba vacío desde hacía meses.
The flat across the street had been empty for months.
