Durante quince años, Ignacio Reyes había ocupado la misma mesa del rincón en el Bar Asturias, un local diminuto situado en una bocacalle del centro de Valladolid.
For fifteen years, Ignacio Reyes had occupied the same corner table at the Bar Asturias, a tiny establishment situated on a side street in the centre of Valladolid.

That ritual had been snatched away from him suddenly when they informed him that the bar was going to be demolished to build an office block.

On the last day, Ignacio arrived earlier than usual.
