(The Promise)
El tren de las once de la noche llevaba dos horas de retraso.
The eleven o'clock night train was two hours late.
La estación de Atocha estaba casi vacía y solo quedaban unos pocos viajeros sentados en los bancos de plástico.
Atocha station was nearly empty and only a few travellers remained sitting on the plastic benches.
Elena leía una novela cuando un hombre joven se sentó a su lado y suspiró con frustración.
